DAY 01 · PARO
Arrival in the Kingdom of Bhutan
Your journey begins at Paro International Airport, where your private guide welcomes you to Bhutan. Enjoy a scenic transfer to Taktsangri-La, nestled near the sacred Tiger's Nest Monastery.
Spend the afternoon settling into your surroundings, enjoying the mountain views and relaxing after your journey.

DAY 02 · PARO
The Sacred Tiger's Nest Experience
Begin your day with a guided hike to the legendary Tiger's Nest Monastery (Paro Taktsang), dramatically perched on a cliff overlooking the Paro Valley. Along the forested trail, enjoy spectacular mountain scenery and discover the spiritual significance of Bhutan's most revered landmark.
After the hike, return to Taktsangri-La for a relaxing evening. A traditional Bhutanese hot stone bath or massage can be arranged on request at an additional charge.

DAY 03 · THIMPHU – WANGDUE
From the Capital to the Himalayan Valleys
After breakfast, travel to Thimphu, Bhutan's capital, to discover its cultural landmarks, including the magnificent Buddha Dordenma and National Memorial Chorten.
Continue eastward across Dochula Pass, renowned for its 108 memorial chortens and panoramic Himalayan views on clear days. Descend through forested mountains into Wangdue, where the Punatsangchhu River and surrounding valleys create a dramatic landscape.
Arrive at Wangdue Ecolodge and enjoy a peaceful evening overlooking Wangdue Dzong and the valley.

DAY 04 · PUNAKHA & WANGDUE
Fortresses, Sacred Temples & Riverside Valleys
Begin your day with a scenic drive to Punakha, Bhutan's former capital. Visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong, situated at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers, and admire its remarkable Bhutanese architecture.
Explore the picturesque Punakha Suspension Bridge and visit Chimi Lhakhang, the revered Temple of Fertility, surrounded by traditional villages and rice fields.
Return to Wangdue Ecolodge for a relaxing evening, with panoramic views of Wangdue Dzong, the river and surrounding mountains.

DAY 05 · PHOBJIKHA VALLEY
Into Bhutan's Valley of Tranquillity
After breakfast, journey through the forested mountains to Phobjikha Valley, a breathtaking glacial valley renowned for its pristine landscapes and wintering black-necked cranes.
Visit the historic Gangtey Monastery, overlooking the valley, and enjoy a gentle nature walk through traditional villages, open meadows and peaceful countryside.
Discover the valley's rich natural heritage before returning to Wangdue Ecolodge for a restful evening.

DAY 06 · WANGDUE – PARO
A Journey Through the Himalayan Highlands
After breakfast, bid farewell to Wangdue Ecolodge and begin your scenic return to Paro, travelling through forested mountains and picturesque valleys.
Cross Dochula Pass once more, with opportunities for photographs and refreshments along the way. Continue through Thimphu, allowing time for a leisurely lunch and a visit to the local handicraft market, depending on your interests.
Arrive at Taktsangri-La in the afternoon and enjoy your final evening in Bhutan, surrounded by the peaceful mountain scenery near Tiger's Nest.

DAY 07 · PARO
Farewell to the Kingdom of Happiness
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at Taktsangri-La, surrounded by the peaceful mountain scenery of Paro.
Depending on your flight schedule, take some time to appreciate the hotel's tranquil surroundings before your private transfer to Paro International Airport.
Depart Bhutan with cherished memories of its sacred monasteries, majestic Himalayan landscapes and warm Bhutanese hospitality.
