The 3-day tourist visa for the period from 12th February to 14th February 2025 will be arranged by the bride and groom as part of the invitation.

If you wish to extend or modify your visa, a USD 40 amendment fee will apply. To avoid this additional charge, we recommend contacting us in advance so that we can process your visa according to your specific requirements, ensuring no extra fees are incurred.

For those extending their stay, a Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) will be applicable: INR 1,200 per night for passport holders from SAARC countries, and USD 100 per night for all other international guests. Please note that the wedding period from 12th to 14th February is already covered in the package, and no additional fee will apply for these dates.

Additionally, we kindly request that you submit your travel details (including entry and exit points), a copy of your passport/ voter ID, and a passport-sized photo well in advance, so we can process your Bhutan visa accordingly.

By Air: The only international gateway to Bhutan is Paro International Airport, which you can fly into from cities like Delhi, Bagdogra, Kolkata, Kathmandu, Bangkok, Dubai, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

By Road: There are two main entry points by road:

• Samdrup Jongkhar in the east

• Phuntsholing in the west

From Phuntsholing to Paro, it’s about a 4-hour drive through a winding, mountainous road. The journey is a scenic delight as you pass through the foothills of the Himalayas, with the landscape changing dramatically at every turn, from lush vegetation to higher mountain terrain.

From Samdrup Jongkhar, the drive to Paro takes approximately three days. The longer journey offers a unique opportunity to experience Bhutan’s diverse landscapes as you travel cross-country from east to west. It’s an unforgettable way to explore Bhutan’s beauty and culture in depth.

In Bhutan, smoking is strictly regulated and is only permitted in designated areas marked with clear signboards. Smoking in public spaces is prohibited, and violators must adhere to these rules.

Please also be aware that as it is winter, the dry leaves and surroundings are highly susceptible to catching fire. Kindly be mindful of where you smoke and ensure that cigarette butts are properly disposed of to prevent any fire hazards.
